Now first and foremost let me say this only works if you can access your map files, which is in your saves folder. The ones for the server are not view-able by players, only administrators.

But let's start with how to use this.

I did an instructional video which I will edit in once loaded

The OP (Original post(er)) for the tool is here

and the program is here

Ok. If you want a copy of your in-game map, you need to PM me on these forums--and PM only-- your steam id and email address (make sure it is the  email address you provided when registering for these forums) and the request for your map. I will then cross-check and verify your steam Id and if it matches I will send it to you via the email address you provide which I will cross-check against the email you provided when you registered for the forums.

I would ask you do not  abuse this; I am not going to give you an updated map (as an extreme example) every 15 minutes simply because you ask for it. I don't see that being a problem in this community, though.

What you can do with these maps in edit them in paint (or whatever program you use) to add symbols, notes, or whatever, to point out locations of interest. You can share this map among friends or however it suits you.

Again, the PM has to be on the forums. If you don't know how to find your steamID use google and figure it out. The simplest way is to look in your Player folder, which is located in your Saves folder. It will have a number followed by .tts or .map. I path to it in the above video, but you can learn how to do this fairly easily.

You can also search your computer for *.tts files or *.map files.

Agreed this is awesome....

Still searching for the right place to settle down.  We have not found the "Right neighborhood" just yet.... spent a night near that one cliff road town (pictured elsewhere on the forums), and the locals were not polite.... How were we supposed to know that was their backyard it was a good football field away from the town road....

So once we find a place to settle and explore around it we will ask for our map also.... :)
