I attempted to connect, using the new password, and was hung as the world downloaded, I got red text saying world not found. Next time world download completed, and hung at initializing world. I get stuck there all the time now. I reinstalled the game from scratch, and deleted the old world info. Have confirmed my firewall is off, can play fine in single player. verified the game info, using a low resolution and setting s all at low, or close to it. Suggestions? I'll try and see if there is a fix on the game forum. Thanks for any info if someone does know something, in advance.

If it downloaded and your game files are validated, you just need to wait longer. As long as the server does not kick you off, you are still initializing. Depending on your computer and your internet speed, it will take several minutes to load in. Just give it more time.

I know it is frustrating. But we all have gone through it. It really is a waiting game to get into the survival game.

Maybe its purely coincidence, but after struggling to get in twice now, i attempted to exit via task manager and the game luanched within 10 seconds after. may be worth a try.

thanks for the responses. I waited 15 minutes before having to force quit.. Tried a lot of things, actually. Deleted all files and started from scratch with no luck. Trying on a second, slower computer and have been sitting at downloading world at 100% for 10 minutes now. It's weird. I'll try messing with my router since neither comp can get on. It downloaded the world fine though, so it shouldn't be an issue. I've run into a number of connection issues in the past, but I'm kinda stumped. I'm going to try connecting to some other random server next to see what happens. I'll try connecting across lan too. Seriously, I need to get on the server to at least get a start going. after 12 minutes, the game kicked me back to the menu, but all memory is currently in use by the game. Seems to be leaking real bad. I might have to wait for another patch, if that is the case.
Anyone else find it a lot harder? lol. Those vultures are the BANE of my existence.

No luck getting on another server. Have not tried on a LAN attempt. Bugger, ran out of time to play. Well, I'll try resetting everything in the house, and see what happens.

I got on for about 10 minutes and was dropped. Factory resetting both routers in house, powercycled everything else/ I'll figure this out

I had a similar problem on Monday. It would seem to get stuck on initializing. Yesterday I noticed that it would stay on initializing until the song actually ended before the game would start.

turns out, the song starts over from scratch. I didn't know that until this happened, lol. fingers crossed on the updated server. Thanks.
